Blog Action Day!

This is a picture of a group of South African Penguins at the Memphis Zoo. Soon, zoos may be the only place where these types of penguins can be seen. Today is blog action day, and the focus is on climate change. Because of climate change, South African Penguins are fast becoming a species of the past. Rising global temperatures mean adjustments in ocean currents. Currents that are so vital in providing a sustainable living environment for the fish that these penguins eat. If the currents are altered, there are no fish around for the Penguins to eat, and therefore, no Penguins.

This honestly seems somewhat convoluted, but I hope you get the point. Our actions have an impact on even the smallest and cutest of God's creatures. So tonight, do something that will help to stem the effects of global climate change. Un-plug your electronic devices when you go to bed. Turn down your thermostat just a little bit on this cold night. Take a shorter shower.

There are so many things you can do that are so simple, but that can make a big impact.
